Sections

Sections are the building blocks of your one-page website. Each section represents a distinct part of your page — from the opening hero banner to the footer at the bottom. This guide explains how to manage them.

Managing Your Sections

Viewing Your Sections

When you open the Sections page, you see a list of all sections that make up your website. Each entry shows the section type and whether it is currently active (visible on your site).

Creating a New Section

  1. Click the create button at the top of the page.
  2. Choose a section type from the list (for example, "Hero," "About," or "Gallery").
  3. Decide whether the section should be active right away.
  4. Save the section.
  5. You will be taken to the edit page, where you can fill in the content and upload images.

Note: The section type cannot be changed after creation. If you need a different type, delete the section and create a new one.

Editing a Section

  1. Click the edit action next to the section you want to change.
  2. Update the content fields and images as needed.
  3. Save your changes. They will appear on your website immediately.

Reordering Sections

The order of sections on this page matches the order on your website.

  1. Click the reorder button at the top of the list.
  2. Drag sections up or down to rearrange them.
  3. Click "Done" when you are finished.

Move a "Call to Action" section directly below your "Services" section to encourage visitors to take action after browsing your offerings.

Activating or Deactivating a Section

You can show or hide any section without deleting it.

  1. Toggle the active switch next to the section in the list.
  2. The change takes effect immediately.

Temporarily hide your "Team" section while you are still preparing team member content.

Deleting a Section

  1. Click the delete action next to the section you want to remove.
  2. Confirm the deletion. This action is permanent.

Section Types and Their Content

Each section type has its own set of content fields. Below is a guide for every available type.

Hero

A large, eye-catching banner at the top of your page designed to make a strong first impression.

  • Add a title and subtitle to introduce your business.
  • Set button text and a link to guide visitors (for example, "Book Now" linking to your contact section).
  • Choose a background focus point (top, center, or bottom) to control which part of the background image stays visible on different screen sizes.
  • Upload a background image in the media area.

A nail salon could use "Welcome to Glaze" as the title, "Luxury nail care in the heart of Amsterdam" as the subtitle, and a high-quality photo of the salon interior as the background.

Slider

A rotating image carousel that cycles through multiple slides automatically.

  • Each slide can have its own title, subtitle, and button.
  • Set the interval (in milliseconds) to control how fast slides change. The default is 5000 (5 seconds).
  • Adjust the overlay darkness to ensure text remains readable over your images.
  • Toggle autoplay, navigation arrows, and slide indicators on or off.
  • Upload between 1 and 6 slider images in the media area. Recommended size: 1920x1080 pixels.

Showcase different services — one slide for manicures, another for pedicures, a third for nail art — each with its own background photo and call-to-action button.

About

A section to tell visitors who you are and what makes your business special.

  • Add a title, subtitle, and a longer description paragraph.
  • Add feature items to highlight key strengths. Each item has a title, description, and icon.
  • Optionally upload a featured image in the media area.

Describe your salon's story, then add three features such as "Experienced Stylists," "Premium Products," and "Relaxing Atmosphere."

Services

A structured overview of what you offer, with optional pricing per service.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Add individual services, each with a name, description, price, and icon.

List services like "Classic Manicure - EUR 25," "Gel Extensions - EUR 45," and "Nail Art - EUR 15" with matching icons.

Pricing

A detailed price list organized into categories, ideal when you have many items to display.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Create categories (for example, "Women," "Men," "Children").
  • Within each category, add services with a name, optional description, and price.

Create a "Women" category containing "Wash & Cut - EUR 35," "Color Treatment - EUR 65," and a "Men" category with "Haircut - EUR 25."

Testimonials

Quotes from satisfied clients that build trust with new visitors.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Add testimonials, each with a quote, the client's name, and optionally their role or company.

Team

Introduce the people behind your business.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Add team members, each with a name, role, and short biography.
  • Upload member photos in the media area. Photos are matched to team members in the same order they appear.

Add "Lisa - Senior Nail Technician" with a short bio, then upload her photo as the first image.

Gallery

A visual showcase of your work, space, or products.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Upload multiple images in the media area. You can reorder them by dragging.

Upload photos of your best nail art designs, your salon interior, and product displays.

Parallax

A visually striking section with a fixed background image that creates a depth effect as visitors scroll.

  • Add a title and a supporting subtitle.
  • Upload a background image in the media area.

Use a beautiful wide-angle photo of your salon with the text "Where Beauty Meets Relaxation."

FAQ

Frequently asked questions displayed in a collapsible format so visitors can quickly find answers.

  • Add a title and subtitle for the section.
  • Add question-and-answer pairs. Each answer is hidden until the visitor clicks the question.

Add questions like "Do I need to book an appointment?" with the answer "Yes, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance."

Accordion

Identical in structure to FAQ, but intended for any collapsible content — not just questions and answers.

  • Add a title and subtitle.
  • Add items with a heading and expandable content.

Use this for policy information: "Cancellation Policy," "Gift Cards," "Group Bookings."

Call to Action

A focused section designed to drive visitors toward a specific action.

  • Add a title, subtitle, and a short description.
  • Set a primary button (text and link) and optionally a secondary button.
  • Upload a background image in the media area.

Title: "Ready for Your New Look?" with a primary button "Book Now" linking to your booking page, and a secondary button "Call Us" linking to your phone number.

A large highlight section with a background image, similar to a hero but meant for use further down the page.

  • Add a title, subtitle, and a button with a link.

  • Add a title and subtitle.
  • Enter your address, phone number, and email.
  • Add opening hours as day-and-time pairs.

  • Set a label, heading, and highlight text for the call-to-action side.
  • Set a title for the form side.
  • Optionally upload a featured image in the media area.

Note: This section type is only available when the contact form module is enabled.

Left side reads "We'd love to hear from you" with the right side showing a message form.

Footer

The bottom of your website with essential business information and social media links.

  • Enter your company name, address, phone number, and email.
  • Add social media links as platform-URL pairs (for example, "Instagram" and your profile URL).
  • Reorder social links by dragging.

Add links to your Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok profiles.

Content

A flexible section for any text content, formatted with a rich text editor.

  • Add a title for the section.
  • Write or paste content using the full-featured editor. You can format text with headings, bold, italic, lists, links, tables, and more.
  • Optionally upload a featured image in the media area.

Use this for a detailed "Our Story" page section, a list of policies, or any content that doesn't fit the other section types.

Image + Text

A two-column layout with an image on the left and text on the right.

  • Add a section title and subtitle displayed above both columns.
  • Add a block title and text for the content next to the image.
  • Optionally add a button with a link.
  • Upload the image in the media area.

Show a photo of your salon on the left with a description of your approach and a "Learn More" button on the right.

Text + Image

The same as Image + Text, but reversed: text on the left and the image on the right.

Alternate between Image + Text and Text + Image sections to create a visually engaging zigzag layout down your page.

Stats

Display key numbers that highlight your achievements or experience.

  • Add a title and subtitle.
  • Add statistics, each with a value and a label.

"500+ Happy Clients," "10 Years Experience," "15,000 Treatments."

  • Add a title, subtitle, and customize the button text.

  • Add a title and subtitle.

Highlight benefits like "Free Parking," "Walk-ins Welcome," and "Certified Professionals."

Portfolio

A visual showcase similar to Gallery, designed for displaying project work or case studies.

  • Add a title and subtitle.

Uploading Images

  1. Open the section for editing.
  2. Scroll to the media area below the content fields.
  3. Click to upload or drag and drop your image files.
  4. Use the built-in image editor to crop or adjust your images. Preset aspect ratios are suggested depending on the section type.
  5. Save the section.

Recommended Image Sizes

Section type Recommended size
Hero and slider backgrounds: 1920x1080 pixels (16:9) or wider
Team member photos: Square (1:1) or portrait (3:4)
Gallery and portfolio: Any size; thumbnails are generated automatically
Image + Text sections: Landscape (4:3 or 3:2) or square

Reordering Images

For sections that accept multiple images (gallery, portfolio, team, slider):

  1. Drag images within the upload area to change their display order.
  2. For team member photos, the order should match the order of team members in the content fields above.

Tips

Start with the essentials. A Hero, About, Services, and Contact section is a strong foundation for any business website.

Preview your changes. Use the preview button on the Edit Template page to see how sections look together before publishing.

Use high-quality images. Large, sharp photos make a significant difference in how professional your site looks.

Keep text concise. Visitors scan one-page websites quickly. Short, clear copy works best.

Deactivate instead of deleting. If you are unsure about removing a section, toggle it off first. You can always bring it back.
